Flash has revolutionized the web. It added another dimension to the beauty of website design. These animations are very cool, attractive but often slow down your Web browsing, especially if you have a slower Internet connection. If you think that these flash animations are useless (for time being) considering your net connection speed then there is a way following by which you can get rid of these animations. But remember there are certain sites which completely rely on flash (I mean those sites are meaning less without these flash animations). This can be best applied to those sites wherein the flash acts as an into, banners etc.
Here’s the way to block the flash animations :
In Internet Explorer : The task is very easy in internet explorer, all you have to do is click Tools —–> click Internet Options —–> and click the Advanced tab. Scroll down to reach the Multimedia section and uncheck the “Play animations in WebPages ” box. Click Apply and finally click OK. Just restart your IE to see the changes.
In Mozilla Firefox : In Firefox, you can use add-ons like Flash block. The speciality of this add-on is that it blocks flash animations but leaves placeholders so that you can click various animations if you want to see them. There are even add-ons available for IE to block this flash stuff. Using add-ons is the best way where you can have control over the flash content. You can always decide whether to block all or block few.
This really should help in blocking the flash stuff.
