Windows has this problem with deleting .avi video files. Here are the steps to be followed to delete an un deletable .avi video file.
Note:
- If you are trying to delete a file in use, first stop the program that’s using the file and then continue.

Steps:
Warning: Before you do anything with registry. Just back it up.
- Click Start menu and click run. In the run window type ‘regedit’ and press enter.
- The Windows Registry editor opens.
- Now in the left pane of the registry editor expand or double click on “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”. It expands.
- Now double click / expand Software and then Classes.
- Once you expand classes registry key, go to CLSID and expand it again. You’ll see a long list of keys.
- Now under CLSID expand/ double click the key labelled {87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}.
- You’ll find InProcServer32 key. Just delete it. (Press Yes to confirm deletion).
- Now restart your computer and deleted the .avi file which troubled you.
